For my photography, I use different gear such as my Samsung-S8 phone or the Fuji-X30.
But my absolute favourites were my both DSLR Nikon-D7200’s. When I picked up my hobby again this was the one I started with
Speaking for myself, the use of this camera is an absolutely natural thing. It has the perfect grip for me and the menu and the control during use are so easy.
I don’t have a comparison with other DSLR‘s or system camera’s in the same or the full frame range though. Obviously, there will better ones.
I don’t have a specific speciality regarding photography. I just take a picture when it’s worth it for me.
In the last two years, I gathered quite some different lenses for the D7200’s.
I used the site of Ken Rockwell a lot to get guidance on what is the (practically) best lens to use for me.
Somewhere in 2018, the Fujifilm XT3 came in the news.
I already watched quite some Youtube posts from Theoria Apophasis for information on the several Nikon gear but also for the XT3 when it was released.
Man, was I excited about this one.
Obviously, it is a totally different camera compared to the Nikon D7200.
Mirrorless, the new techniques of nowadays, etc. Yes, totally different.
December 2018 the Cashback action started over here.
Several promotion sales I couldn’t resist and there I went. A beautiful black XT3 with the 18-55mm f2.8 kit lens. A few weeks later I bought, during the same cashback deals the 50-140mm f2.8 and the 100-400mm f 4.5-5.6.
I have to say, the Nikon’s are somewhat neglected at the moment but I’m happy with everything I have right now!
Down below you’ll see the lenses I use.
Additional I have some other helpful gear as well:
- Rollei C9-i tripod.
- Godox TT-520-II flash.
- Some flash softbox-like add-ons
- Foka extension tubes to do some extra macro with the 105mm micro lens.
- Remote control.
- Manfrotto camera bag (large) When I’m creative I get all the stuff in.
- Lens filters.
- and the rest.
Quite some gear gathered the last 2 years, in my opinion.
Yes, I used them all!
For the post-processing of the photo’s, I use the Adobe Lightroom Classic CC and Photoshop CC.
I had to get used to it. It’s amazingly diverse for post-processing photo’s but after using it for 2 years it gives me the results I think are ok,
For the Fuji XT3 pictures, I’m using Capture One 12 (for Fujifilm cameras)
Totally different in use than Lightroom from Adobe.
I have to get used to it though. To process the pictures quickly it works fine for me at the moment.
It has a lot more features in it. The next couple of weeks I’ll figure it all out.
If you have any question or remark on my gear, just drop a message and I’ll respond as soon as possible.
